Competo Capital Partners is the investment and asset management specialist for individually tailored real estate investments.
As an owner-managed and independent company based in Munich, we focus on tailored real estate investments in Germany. We currently manage investment capital of nearly five billion euros. With the Körber Foundation (since 2013) and the Joachim Herz Foundation (since 2017) as strategically involved co-shareholders, we are able to demonstrate our real estate expertise – particularly within the foundation sector.
We always aim high in real estate. The economic success of our business partners and investors is our biggest incentive.
Our management
The goals of their customers are also their goals: Ralf Simon and Thomas Pscherer personally identify with sustainable corporate success.
In 2007, managing partners Ralf Simon and Thomas Pscherer founded Competo Capital Partners. With nearly five billion euros in assets under management today, they have established Competo as a trusted specialist for tailored investments on behalf of German family offices, foundations, and medium-sized institutional investors.
Both bring more than 30 years of professional experience – a background shaped by building the Real Estate Investment Banking division at HypoVereinsbank in the late 1990s and serving from 2003 to 2007 as managing partners of LBBW Immobilien Capital GmbH. In founding Competo, they opened a new and highly successful chapter.
In 2025, the management team was strengthened with the addition of Dr. Jonas Willwersch and Dr. Jochen Häusler, both of whom earned doctorates in real estate economics at the IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School.

Competo Capital Partners is a member of DGNB, the German Sustainable Building Council, which is dedicated to promoting sustainability throughout all stages of construction, from planning to operation. As a result, the DGNB is an ideal partner for us in enhancing sustainability across our real estate projects. Through our membership with the DGNB, we emphasize our commitment to realizing our goals of sustainable and valuable office, residential, and logistics properties together with our investors and business partners.
Sustainability begins with planning and continues throughout the entire lifecycle of our projects.
Competo Capital Partners supports regional climate protection
Competo Capital Partners takes responsibility for its own CO₂ footprint while actively promoting regional climate protection projects. Since its certification on July 1, 2025, the company has carried the Pina Earth label – awarded to firms that go beyond simple carbon offsetting by actively reducing emissions and supporting local climate initiatives.
Project Lindorf – Forest Transformation in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg
Over the course of 30 years, 318 hectares of former spruce forest are being transformed into a structurally diverse mixed forest. Within 20,113 m² of this area, active reforestation will bind around 156,000 kg of CO₂ — equivalent to 49 flights from Munich to New York or 975,000 km of car travel. Planting climate-resilient tree species, encouraging natural regeneration, and promoting biodiversity strengthen the forest’s long-term resilience.
In addition to supporting regional climate initiatives, Competo is implementing tangible measures to reduce emissions within the company — for example, switching entirely to green energy, increasing recycling rates, and prioritizing public transport for business travel.
Local, measurable, effective: Competo combines regional climate protection projects with concrete sustainability actions within its own operations.
Taking responsibility means reducing and offsetting emissions while strengthening the natural environment.
